Art?

A beach is one huge canvas for creating opportunities to explore the natural environment. Just find some sand, add a little imagination and see what happens...you might be surprised.

A day on the beach can inspire powerful emotions and lasting links with local landscapes...not bad for a sunny day at the beach!

Whats in the bus?

Well, to be honest not much!

They had a hard day and decided to look at the lovely soft seats...yes strange indeed...kids nowadays!

Did I push them too hard? Was the route too tough? Were they all smiling on the way back in the bus, absolutely! I think my work here is done.

Harry Potter has Changed!

All this week while out with young groups this was by far the most popular topic when discussing films. So we went to see the film and it was great fun.....go and see it...go Harry...hope your head gets better!

Muiravonside Bike Trails

Cycled around Muiravonside country park on the bikes with a team of youngsters yesterday. Its a great place to spend a few hours and you can always stop at the farm or go to the activity area.
The whole area is rich with history and just getting to the park via the canal is a great experience for the kids.

Multi Activity Day 1

Monday so it must be mountain biking!

We spent the day around Gartmore Dam doing some bike skills and just enjoying the view. Tuesday is a climbing day so we will look at the weather and decide where will be least wet: yes I did say "least wet", this is Scotland after all.

This week I will be doing some mountain biking, some climbing and who knows what else around the forests, trails, crags and rivers of central Scotland.

Just traveling over and through a landscape opens wide the doors of a young persons mind. What you choose to place through those doors (geology, botany, communication skills, leadership, anything really!) well that's up to you.
